Opening an Independent Branch of a Foreign Company in Germany
For an independent branch, which does business in Germany you will need:
- an address to receive mail from the authorities. if you do not have your own address, you will need a virtual office. Consider taking out a virtual office from our associate Beam
- registration at the commercial registry,
- registration at the tax office,
- registration at the trade office.
Our assignment will be
- Drafting the bilingual board resolution,
- Visiting the notary in Germany on your behalf with a notarized power of attorney,
- Registration at commercial registry,
- Paying fees for registration and notary,
- Registering your company's branch with tax office,
- Registering your company's branch with the trade office and paying its fees,
- Applying for a VAT-ID,
- Providing you with a nutshell on German business taxation,
- Proofreading your first invoice so you don't embarrass yourself in front of German customers and make sure it is formally correct.
Our fees for opening a branch and tax registration will be € 1200 flat (ex VAT), including notary and commercial registry fees. Some costs for certified translation will come on top, which we will gladly organize for you if you have no better support. The translation costs depend upon the size of your domestic articles of association.
Opening a Dependent Branch of a Foreign Company in Germany
We will gladly register your dependent branch. Our tasks will be
- Drafting the bilingual board resolution,
- Registration with trade office,
- Paying fees of trade office,
Our fee for this will be € 900 flat (ex VAT).

The duration of this assignment varies for the individual case. We will let you know what can be expected once we learn more about your individual needs.
