Our Services
Our services for applying for a residence permit for employment purposes will typically contain the following tasks:
- supplying a checklist for any documents to be submitted, that your application will be complete, case deciders are extremely annoyed if anything evident is missing, however sometimes they might want more information,
- general instruction of the application proceedings (duration, fees, opening hours, etc.) – three-step procedure,
- providing the mandatory application form (prefilled for your convenience), German authorities hate sloppiness and chances decline when the application form evidently misses important information,
- vetting your diploma / vocational training whether it is acknowledged or not. If not we will provide you with further information on how to proceed,
- instruction at which office the relevant documents are to be submitted, to ensure that each authority gets exactly those documents it wants to see and not anything else,
- double-check that the salary will suffice to finance your livelihood, and whether a German would receive the same in a comparable position, if it does not meet the standards, it is up to you to negotiate with the employer. It is not advisable that we negotiate,
- when applicable, applying for pre-testing of the application by Labor Agency and so significantly expediting the application proceedings by one month,
- streamlining supplementary documents, German authorities crave to have your story proven, We will make sure that you show correct and relevant data,
- negotiating legal follow-up questions from the authorities, this is to ensure that they only hear the relevant and correct information,
- providing a summary of any new legal status at every relevant step in the process of applying for the permit,
- accompanying you once to immigration, when in Berlin.
This approach requires minor involvement by the employer if he provides me with a power of attorney for this immigration matter only. This ensures that we can talk on his behalf. His support is vital but we want to keep his burden to an absolute minimum.
Services for Spouse and Minor Child(ren):
Trailing spouses and minor children are not automatically tied with the main applicant. If their permit is about to expire, we will support them as well. They have a great impact on the financial needs the candidate might have to proof.
If their permit is still valid for a significant period, they do not need to apply for an extension. Just mention them as well for us to have a clear picture of with whom you are living here.
Are you 45 years or older?
If you are 45 years or older, you also have to receive a salary of at least € 4015 in western Germany resp. € 3905 for eastern Germany. If your salary will be lower than that threshold, you will have to show an adequate pension plan or other retirement provisions. This coverage can be either the state pension plan from home, private savings, or closing a German pension plan or a mixture of all. The government wants to make sure that you will not be dependent on welfare upon retiring.
N.B. This is only relevant for the very first permit!
Time Scale
The time scale for processing will be around three months until you receive your appointment to pick up your permit.
Our Fees
We will charge 4% of the annual gross salary for the support of all the above. This is typically paid in at most two steps: step 1 up front, & step 2; upon granting the permit.
If you are happy with this offer but have a liquidity issue, please order and pay "by invoice", then make a serious down payment in a three-digit value ASAP. We expect that you will be paying further in monthly installments with a default interest of 9% p.a. Also mention this when responding to our confirmation email.
My fees are typically tax deductible and will be "reimbursed" with your first subsequent tax return as they are considered as “work-related costs”.
